About Winston Hearn (me)
I'm a mid-twenties video producer who currently lives in Nashville, TN. I've been lucky enough to log about 7 years in the video production field - 3 as a full-time editor and shooter, 2 as a student, and 2 as a freelancer. After starting out as a lowly wedding video editor in Birmingham, AL and then working with cj Advertising here in Nashville for a few years, I'm on my own again as a freelance video producer.
I am a designer by nature and have done numerous Motion Graphic (or MoGraph) videos, involving myself in every aspect of development. Some of my favorite projects of the past few years have been Explainer videos for startups - simple 60-90 second videos that explain the services of any web-based startup.
I don't just do MoGraph though; I'm a big film buff and the love of films was what first brought me to video production. I love to break out my camera whenever I get a chance and tell the stories of those around me. Check out the "More of My Work" page to see the range of my past work.
When I'm not working I spend my time reading fiction and non-fiction, riding my bike around Nashville, sampling craft-brew beers with friends, or concocting new adventures with my wife. Right now we are cooking up an 8-month road trip around the US that will hopefully happen in 2012, involving 16,000+ miles, a lot of states including Alaska, and lots of sleeping under the stars in places we have never been before.
